The Truth Beyond Names and Forms

What is nameable can be named
What has been named is nameable
Find That which cannot be named
And realize the unnamable
One Without a second, as it is
Unchanging, ever-present

What can have form can be formed
What has been formed has form
Find That which has no form
And realize the formless One
Without a second, as it is
Unchanging, ever-present

It is not because the world has name and form
That you have name and form
It is because you, the one with name and form
That the world with name and form exists
You need to first realize this

In the experience of names and forms
Look not for the unnamable, formless
Start with you who have name and form
Keenly attend to the you to begin
And witness the dissolution of you

The you dissolves in the gaze of awareness
Just as shadows dissolve in the light of the Sun
And all it takes is single-pointed attention
Pointed at the you that has name and form
To precipitate the unnamable, formless

When the illusion that is you falls
The illusion that is the world falls
Names and forms crumble naturally
As attention plunges through the you
And into its own source, Awareness

Sustaining single-pointed attention
Needs effort for the you applying it
Until the dissolution of you, the illusion
Following which, there’s just effortlessness
Being, Awareness, Bliss

Treat not as knowledge these sacred words
They are arising from the heart
To pierce the heart of the illusion
Follow the pointer to your direct experience
And be free of being you to just being

… Thus the heart speaks …
