The Profundity of Emptiness

The space in the cup
The space in the container
The space in the vehicle
The space in the home
This empty space is what
Makes these things useful

So also it is, dear One, that
The mind empty of thoughts
The intellect empty of knowing
The heart empty of self
These alone can let shine
The wholeness that you are

Through letting go, you gain
Through surrender, you conquer
Through unknowing, you know
Through becoming nothing
You shine as everything
The One, without a second

It is the emptiness of space
That holds the entire Universe
Likewise it is the empty body-mind
That can receive the blessing
That is ever-present Grace
The eternal Reiju*
